Holland and Barrett are doing their buy one, get one half price thing and whilst I don't really take vitamins, I'm loving their flaxseed and pumpkin seed products with Goji berries and sunflower seeds mixed in - there's even one mixed with cocoa for the chocolate lovers. So sprinkle some on your porridge in the morning nand stay full til lunch time - in a healthy way....

Day 6 of 2012 DETOX

Some good days and some bad days....to be expected BUT from some unexpected angles!

On the bad side - I awoke this morning to the announcement that we had run out of oil (to those in warmer climates - this is not good!) so I admit wholeheartedly to not taking the cold shower option as I was aiming to keep as much body warmth as I could and I KNOW I say that it warms you up - but I'm sorry, I just couldn't do it!

Bad side # 2 Detox spot x 2. Means I'm clearing out, but when we have the filming of an 'Infomercial' today it could have been better timing.....hope everyone else is getting away with less on the breakout front - the good news is that they don't last long.

Good Side, remembered the warming and filling advantages of porridge for breakfast. Two tablespoons of porridge oats, covered in soy milk (just don't like the taste of normal milk anymore) and then m'wave for 50 seconds, stir in a tablespoon of mixed nuts and tuck in - still full and it's all of 11.20am!

Good side # 2 Remembered I had been given a bottle of Carluccio's lemon Olive Oil for Christmas so drizzled a teaspoon into a jacket potato last night, added fresh ground black pepper and some grilled mackerel. Piled a whole load of salad leaves and herbs and tucked in - v tasty too.

Hint n Tip... Serve Edamame Beans in place of peas - Full of Phytoestrogens (can't ever spell that) so excellent for women of a certain age, less sugar than peas BUT the kids won't notice the difference - or mix the two if you think they will....also, I made more than needed so that i have a store to add to rice for my lunches.

Noticed my skin felt really smooth in the shower this morning, so after only a few day's random brushing, it's already working.
