Don't be tempted to turn the heat up!
It's cold outside but don't be tempted to turn up the shower or run the bath hotter. Increasing the heat increases skin dryness. Turning up the temperature washes the body's natural protective layer of oils and results in dry, scaly and lacklustre skin...
And if that's not reason enough, keeping the body 'a little bit cold' is said to help increase metabolism - which may burn more calories.......

Exfoliate! Exfoliate! Exfoliate!
Get the most out of your skincare. Make sure you exfoliate regularly to get the best levels of absorption from your skin oils and moisturisers - if it has to fight through layers of dull, dead skin cells to get to your body it will be exhausted by the time it arrives and won't do the best job, wasted product and wasted effort...

January 17th Detox
DETOX in 2010
Its time to start preparations for your January 17th DETOX..
Day ONE of your 17th January start DETOX prep.
You need to make sure you don't have any foods that will tempt you 'off plan'. You have a week - until Sunday - to eat, freeze, or make into something scrumptious, anything leftover from Christmas and New Year. I hate waste so I don't like to throw things out. If you really don't want to eat it, then give it away (boxes of chocolates etc, not mouldy old sprouts)
It doesn't mean you get to drink the entire contents of the wine rack either - that stuff will keep until after the programme, it's just perishables and the like.
So, your task is to work out how to get through the contents before Sunday.....off you go
